Working from patterns and elements from living creatures (plants, animals, fungi, bacteria, etc.), these artists created organic forms with white earthenware clay. After being fired in the kiln, these artists added color to their forms with glaze or paint or both. To finish their pieces, these artists added at least one other material to their forms. In essence, these artists created abstract sculptures-in-the-round while referencing nature in all of its diversity.
